Meet JPrutzman Enterprises’ Intern Paige DeLoretta
Tell us about your classes, school activities?
I am enrolled in AP Language and Composition, AP Statistics, AP Microeconomics, Microsoft Office Specialist, Business Seminar and Entrepreneurship, and Geology. In my Business Seminar and Entrepreneurship class a group of students take on the challenge of creating and running their own business. This year 12 students are enrolled in the class and we named our business Wonders on Waverly. We make all of our own products ranging from handmade custom bracelets to custom etched glasses to custom colorful tie dyes. My role in this class and for the business is the head of marketing. In my Microsoft Office Specialist Class, I have the opportunity to learn everything to know about Microsoft and earn my certificate in Microsoft Excel.
I have been a runner on the Governor Mifflin Cross Country team and track teams for the past six years. I learned many lessons about being a leader and what it takes to become a leader. Student Government Association is a club that I am very passionate about. Mini- Thon is a fundraiser for high schools to raise money for childhood cancer and I am very proud to be the Mini-Thon co-chair for our Student Government Association. Another club I am involved in is Future Business Leaders of America. This club has helped me develop a passion for business and has helped me with my business skills overall by attending yearly business leadership workshops.
Why do you want to pursue a future in the marketing/communications field?
I want to pursue a career in the marketing field where I can experience the thrill of creating a successful marketing plan and delivering results to clients.
Is this your first internship?
This is my first internship.
Why did you want to intern at JPrutzman Enterprises?
My intern advisor, Ms. Bonanno, explained the communications and marketing services that JPrutzman Enterprises offers, I knew the internship was the perfect fit for me. After researching JPrutzman Enterprises, I found that I like the personal touch she provides to her clients. I am inspired about how she demonstrates women leadership in the world today by being the sole proprietor of her company. I am interested in continuing my education in business and I knew this company was a great place to start.
What are your expectations of the internship?
What I hope to learn from this internship and what I am most excited about is the various creative ways to advertise along with event planning. I am looking forward to meeting clients in different industries and how to provide services to them.
Fun fact about you…
I very much enjoy baking and cooking.
